You’re Not Alone. You Can Talk to Someone Who Truly Gets It.

You know being a part of the military creates changes and challenges most will never understand. You don’t feel understood or appreciated by the rest of society because you’re a part of the less than 2% of the population who chose to serve.

“Challenges make you discover things about yourself that you never really knew.”

— Cicely Tyson

“Do You Feel Left Out, Unsettled, Misunderstood?”

Do any of the following resonate with you?

Do any of the following resonate with you?

  • You feel lonely because you’re so far from home and every time you make friends you have to leave them.
  • You feel trapped in an institution that claims to put people first but you feel like just a number.
  • You wake up every morning feeling overwhelmed and depressed, because you don’t have control over where you live or work.
  • You think you shouldn’t need help because no one talks openly about their struggles.
  • You’ve been told seeking mental health support will jeopardize your career and everything you’ve worked for.
  • You feel conflicted because you love the military but it takes away from family time.
  • You are ready to leave the military but don’t know how to make the transition into civilian life.
  • You’re a dependent who wants to be supportive but you also have unmet needs because of military demands.
  • You’ve separated or retired. Now what the hell do you do?!

If any of this rings true for you, I want you to know that many of my clients have shared that it was difficult for them to come in at first. But getting the help you need is a sign of strength and will help you manage stuff that comes up in your life.

You don’t have to keep putting yourself last, caring for everyone and everything else before you take care of yourself.

Therapy for Military & Veterans Can Help You Break The Cycles Of Anxiety And Stress.

There’s so much hope! You can make it! Imagine a life where you could…

  • Really experience balance in the midst of chaos.
  • Figure out who you are and what direction to go in next.
  • Create a more meaningful life based on who you are and what you desire.
  • Actually figure out your damn problems instead of hiding them or pretending they don’t exist.
  • Focus on what you CAN control, so the unknowns don’t feel so heavy.
  • -Have a thriving family, social life, inner life AND career–in or out of the military!

Navigate military challenges with courage and peace.

There are a number of practical tools to help you deal with all of your stress and find your way through difficult feelings and situations.  One way to help you through things is to intentionally practice gratitude.  It may sound corny, but it’s a proven way to improve how you view your circumstances.  This is all you need to do:

  • Grab a journal, some post-its, or scrap paper.
  • Write down 3 specific things you are grateful for.
    • Some ideas could be a person, good experience, funny moment, or accomplishment.
  • Reflect on those things and keep them where you can see them each day.
  • Do this every day and watch your focus shift to what is going right!

My name is Adrianna Taylor and I am a therapist, Air Force veteran, and military spouse who is here to help.

I know the stigma of seeking mental health support.  I know it may feel like you don’t have any control over your life or your future.  Maybe you feel stuck or wonder if you made the right life choice.  Maybe you just want to cope with the lack of ability to choose your next steps.  Or you’re ready to transition out but have no idea how to function as a civilian and still feel worthy or successful.

If you’re a dependent, you may feel isolated and unstable, like it’s impossible to maintain a career or deep friendships. You may long to put down roots, but the pain of being separated from your loved one is too much.  Maybe the transitions are growing less manageable.

You deserve therapy with someone who gets it, who speaks your language, and has lived your experience.
